Yokogawa obtained the information of a destructive malware which is a variant of Shamoon malware. It was reported in 2012 and 2016 that the malware Shamoon, the previous version, hit energy companies in the Middle East and the affected PCs were disabled. Yokogawa is considering the new malware, variant of Shamoon, could affect Industrial Control System of our customers and hence provides a virus definition file to detect this new malware under Endpoint Security Service.
